St. Petersburgs  is a UNESCO world heritage site. Its golden bright towers, castles and open squares with their culture and history are waiting to be discovered. Those interested in culture will also be rewarded. The most important and biggest museum is the “Eremitage”. Between the end of May and the beginning of July there is something special to see, the “White Nights”. Then the sun shines up to 19 hours a day and the residents are in party mood.

Ferry from Japan and Korea to Vladivostok and back.

There is a ferry, "Eastern Dream," from Vladivostok to Korea (Donghae) and Japan (Sakaiminato)..

Notes: This information was correct at time of publication. If you are interested in this option then we can confirm any changes when you contact us regarding an overall Trans Siberian programme. Often such options are not cheaper than airfares, but people take such an option becuase they want to travel by surface. Also we help many people who are driving cars, or motorbikes across Russia and this can be another way of enetring, or exiting Russia as these boats do take vehicles.

Ferrys between St Petersburg and Helsinki, Stockholm and Tallin

There is a year round fast train between St Petersburg and Helsinki taking 4 hours and with reasonable scenery. You have to compare this when think about a ferry. Yes the ferry can be a nights accommodation.

You can make a mini crusie of the Baltics and have a few days at each port of call, this makes sense. Note that these services do not operate year round.

The time schedule is set out below. There are almost daily departures during the main season. If inetrsted contact us and we can see how a sailing would fit your other Russian arrangements planned with us.
