Shenyang is one of the most significant cities in China, both historically and currently. Shenyang is where the Qing Dynasty was born in 1644. It’s 2000 year lifespan can be traced back to 476 B.C. and the Warring States Period. Because the city is so old and so culturally significant to China, you find many relics and landmarks. The Shenyang Imperial Palace, Fulling Tomb and the Zhaoling Tomb are all structures that can be traced back to the Qing Dynasty. Aside from its ancient history it has a significant link to Japanese expansionism which ultimatlry led to WW2. Shenyan also has an area outside the city of an 'unusual' natural occurance.
